BUTTERSCOTCH CREAM CHEESE BARS | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels 6 tbsp. (3/4 stick) butter 2 c. graham cracker crumbs 2 c. chopped walnuts 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1/4 c. all purpose flour 2 tbsp. lemon juice Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butterscotch morsels and butter. Melt in microwave oven 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. In large bowl, stir in graham cracker crumbs and walnuts with a fork until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Reserve 2 cups crumbs for topping. Press remaining mixture in 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" baking pan. Bake 12 minutes. In large mixer bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in flour and lemon juice; sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake 25 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into 2"x1" bars. Chill before serving. |
