HARVEST PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Brown the above in a skillet.

2 c. grated longhorn cheese
1 c. onions
2 c. diced tomatoes
1 lg. bell pepper, diced

Reserve 1 cup grated cheese. Mix 1 cup cheese and other ingredients above.

1 c. flour
1 c. corn meal
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. water

Mix above ingredients. Reserve 3/4 cup of mixture. Pour balance into well greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Spread meat mixture over the bread. Spread 1 cup cheese. Add tomato, onion, and pepper mixture, then remaining ingredients. Put 1 tablespoon water to unused corn bread mix. Arrange in lattice pattern over pie. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
