1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. milk
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9x13 inch pan. In bowl, combine cake mix, butter, milk, and egg. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Batter will be thick. Spread in pan. Bake 20 to 30 minutes.
