POPPY SEED LEMON BREAD 
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 c. light cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. poppy seeds
3 c. flour
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
Juice and rind of 1 lemon

Combine eggs, oil, cream, vanilla and poppy seeds. Mix flour, 2 cups sugar, salt, soda, baking powder and lemon rind; set aside. Add to wet ingredients and mix well. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 325 degrees for 70 minutes.

Mix 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice. Pour over bread while hot and still in pan. Can make holes in loaves with skewer. Yield: two loaves.
