FETTUCCINE ALFREDO 
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 lb. sweet butter, twice cubed
1/2 lb. fettuccine noodles
1/4 c. warm heavy cream
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Cook the fettuccine in lightly salted water. Drain. Place the noodles on a hot serving dish. Quickly, add the other ingredients and toss vigorously (as if tossing a salad) until the cheese and the butter melt into a creamy texture. Serve.
