PEACH COBBLER 
Serve plain or with ice cream.

1 (29 oz.) can peaches
1 3/4 cups sugar, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
cinnamon
nutmeg

Drain most of juice off peaches. Place in a large saucepan with 3/4 cup sugar. Bring to a boil.

Beat together flour, baking powder, salt, remaining 1 cup sugar, milk and egg. Pour boiling fruit into an 8 or 9-inch pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray (Pam). Don't put more than 1/2-inch of juice in baking dish. Pour the batter over the hot peaches.

Melt butter. Pour butter over the batter into drizzle. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bake at 375°F for 30 to 40 minutes.
