MOCK LASAGNA CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hamburger
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Dried basil leaves, crushed
1 (7 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked and drained
1 1/2 c. cottage cheese
6 oz. American cheese, shredded

Brown meat; drain fat. Add tomato sauce, spices and 1/2 cup water. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. In 2-quart casserole, layer 1/2 macaroni, cottage cheese, shredded cheese and meat sauce. Repeat. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
