GRANDMA'S STEW BEEF DISH 
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 lbs. stew beef (cut into bite size pieces)
1 lg. onion, sliced or chopped
2 cans golden mushroom soup
3/4 c. sherry
1 can button mushrooms (drained)
1 c. water

Flour and season stew beef and brown in oil with onion. Add remaining ingredients and simmer on lowest heat for several hours, stirring occasionally. Keep pot covered. Serve over noodles or rice.
