SHORTBREAD COOKIES 
1 lb. unsalted real butter
1 c. sugar
5 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, 1 cup at a time. Mix well. Will be very stiff. Divide in half. Roll each half into 8 x 10 inch rectangle about 1/2 inch thick, cut in squares or however you want. Prick each with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
