TACO CASSEROLE 
1 lg. pkg. Dorito taco chips
1 lb. ground beef
1 can chili beans (or kidney)
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 pkg. taco seasoning mix
Shredded lettuce
2 slices diced tomatoes
1 green pepper
1 med. onion, diced
1 pkg. Mozzarella cheese slices

Crush 1/2 bag of chips and place on bottom of a 7 1/2 x 13 inch pan or casserole.

Brown beef, onions and seasonings. Add green pepper, cut into strips or diced, tomato sauce (hot sauce may be added, but is optional). Add chili beans and simmer 5 minutes. Spoon this mixture on top of the taco chips. Lay strips of cheese on top of this, and add rest of chips, partially crushed. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

Just before serving, add shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Sprinkle with hot sauce, if desired.
