SCOTCH APPLE PIE 
5 apples
3/4 c. brown sugar

Slice apples in bottom of greased baking dish. Cover with brown sugar.

CRUST:

3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
Dash of salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, add sugar, flour and salt. Mix well; add nuts. Spread mixture over the apples and sugar. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

I make it by putting the apples in a bowl, adding about 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp ginger, and stir with the sugar. Delicious!
