RAISIN NUT CREAM PIE 
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
Dash of salt

II:
3 egg yolks

III:

1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 c. coconut

I. Combine first 5 ingredients and simmer.

II. Make thickening using cornstarch. Add to raisin mixture. Add egg yolks, slightly beaten. Return to heat. Cook until thickens. Add last 4 ingredients. Cool slightly before adding to baked pie shell. Top with meringue.

MERINGUE: Beat 3 egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar, gradually added. Bake for 15 minutes or until brown in slow oven, 325 degrees.
