ORANGE ROMAINE SALAD 
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of hot sauce
6 c. torn Romaine lettuce
5 c. torn iceberg lettuce
1 1/2 c. mandarin orange sections (1 sm. can)
1/4 c. slivered almonds, toasted
2 green onions, sliced
1/4 c. cooked bacon, crumbled

Combine first 5 ingredients in a jar. Cover, shake vigorously, until well blended. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Combine next 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Pour dressing over lettuce mixture, immediately before serving; toss gently.
