FRUIT TART 
Make base first.

BASE:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 cubes plus 2 tsp. softened butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans
1 c. quick oats

Mix above ingredients together well and pat into bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until nicely browned. Set aside to cool well.

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 c. (scant) powdered sugar

Mix these together until smooth and then add 4 ounce Cool Whip and mix until smooth. Put on top of well cooled base and level off. Put in refrigerator to cool and set up a bit.

TOP:

Halved fresh strawberries or other fresh fruit in season or
2 cans cherry (or your choice) pie filling

Put on top of filling and return to the refrigerator until time to serve. Enjoy. Serves 8-12.
