CRISPY PICKLES CUCUMBER 
4 qts. sliced cucumbers
6 med. sliced onions
1 red and green pepper

Put 1/3 cup salt over pickles, onion and pepper. Cover with ice and let stand 3 hours. Drain.

Add: 5 c. sugar 2 tsp. turmeric 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed 2 tbsp. mustard seed

Heat to hard boil and can. Makes about 8 pints.
