ROMAINE STRAWBERRY SALAD 
1 head romaine lettuce
1 c. or more fresh strawberries
1 c. dried cranberries
1/2 c. toasted pecans, candied almonds or Almond Accents (honey roasted)

Tear lettuce; cut strawberries in fourths (if large, cut in sixths). Add cranberries; toss or layer in dish. Add nuts just before serving. Top with poppy seed dressing (page 37).

Salad can be made with fresh spinach, but some prefer romaine lettuce. Also mandarin oranges can be substituted for the strawberries but are not on par, taste-wise.
