EASTER BREAD 
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. milk
2 sm. cakes yeast
5 c. flour
1 c. raisins
4 eggs

Scald milk, pour over sugar and butter. Dissolve yeast with a little of the warm milk mixture. Add to milk mixture. Add 1/2 of the flour. Beat well. Add 1 teaspoon salt and the eggs and beat well.

Add remaining flour and raisins. Knead for 15 minutes. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Place in well buttered tube pan. Let rise until doubled. Bake 45 minutes, 350 degree oven.
