1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. New Orleans molasses
5 eggs
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. each: cloves, cinnamon, allspice, ginger and nutmeg
3 1/2 c. seeded raisins
2 c. finely cut citron
1 1/2 c. nuts
2 1/2 c. currants

Mix the first 9 ingredients as any cake, then add gradually the raisins, citron, nuts and currants.
