SHAKER PLUM COFFEE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
2 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 med. fresh California plums, pitted

Mix sugar, butter and egg until fluffy. Stir in milk. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Spread dough in pan. Top with plums and crumb mixture.

CRUMB MIXTURE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Bake at 375°F for 35 minutes.
