OATMEAL MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
6 tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats

Sift flour and add all ingredients except rolled oats. Mix well, then stir in rolled oats. Raisins or coconut can be added. Drop balls onto cookie sheet, bake at 325 degrees for about 15 minutes.
