6 pork steaks 1 tsp. cumin 1/2 tsp. garlic powder Salt and pepper to taste 12 flour tortillas 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce Shredded cheddar cheese Oil Cover pork steak with water and boil until bones come off easy. Remove all bones and fat. Pour water off steaks. Add garlic powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Add tomato sauce. Boil slowly until steak shreds easy, about 2-3 hours. Put 2 tablespoon of meat in the middle of the tortilla over meat and cheese; fold ends over top and insert with toothpick to hold them together. Fry in 1 inch oil until golden brown. Serve topped with diced tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and taco sauce, if desired. |
