HUNGARIAN NUT BALLS 
1 1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
3 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Cream butter, vanilla and sugar together. (I use almond extract and sweet butter. The results are a creamy almond flavor.) Add flour and nuts. (Do not chop nuts too fine or cookies will be gritty in texture.)

Roll into 1 inch balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 325 or 350 degrees depending on your oven. For best results, double the recipe. It will fill a large cookie tin.
