SPRITSAR - ALMOND PRESS COOKIES 
These almond press cookies are wonderful. With the right cookie press, and the right food coloring, they serve every holiday - and everyone loves them!

1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg plus 1 additional egg yolk
1 tsp. almond extract
3 c. all-purpose flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, unbeaten. Stir well, then add almond extract and flour. Mix well, then cover dough and chill. Put mixture in cookie press and press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown at 350°F (10-15 minutes, depending on thickness of cookies).
