SLOPPY CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. self-rising flour, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 stick butter, softened
1 (10 oz.) can evaporated milk
3/4 c. cocoa

CAKE: Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla, butter and 1/4 cup evaporated milk. Blend these ingredients well. Grease nd lightly flour 3 to 4 cake pans. Pour batter evenly into pans and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until done. Allow to cool.

ICING: In small saucepan on low heat, cook remainder of sugar and milk. Add cocoa stirring constantly and cook to a syrup consistency. While warm, pour and spread between layers. Add top layer and stab cake with large cooking fork. Pour remaining syrup over top and drizzle-spread over sides.
