ENGLISH TOFFEE 
1 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. toasted, chopped pecans
12 plain Hershey bars

Melt butter in a heavy saucepan. Add sugar and cook until mixture reaches 300 degrees F. (use candy thermometer). Pour onto greased cookie sheet.

Lay Hershey bars on top. As the Hershey's melt, spread over the entire pan. Sprinkle with toasted, chopped pecans. Let cool until brittle. Break into pieces.
