GREEN CHILI PEPPER CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 pkg. sm. flour tortillas 1 lg. can whole green chilies 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup 1 whole onion, chopped Approximately 4 c. grated cheese Hot sauce (optional) Brown and season meat to taste. Add a small amount of hot sauce to meat for additional spiceness (optional). In a baking dish (medium size), place one layer of tortillas to cover bottom of dish. Sprinkle a layer of meat, green chilies cut in half, chopped onions and cheese. Keep adding layers until the above ingredients have been used up. Pour one can cream of mushroom soup over top of casserole and sprinkle any remaining cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 4 to 6 people. |
