CABBAGE SUPREME
1 med. head cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
3 tbsp. chili sauce

In a covered Dutch oven or large skillet, cook cabbage in small amount of boiling salted water about 12 minutes or just until tender. Drain very well and place in a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a saucepan, cook green pepper and onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper. Add milk; cook and stir until bubbly. Pour over cabbage. Bake, uncovered, in 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.

Combine mayonnaise, cheese, and chili sauce; spoon on top of cabbage. Bake for 5 minutes more. Makes 8 servings.
