CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE 
1 stick butter
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 can Hershey's syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. self-rising flour

ICING:

1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk (plain)
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Blend in flour. Add syrup and vanilla. Bake in greased and floured 13 inch oblong pan at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. When cake comes out of oven cool on wire racks. Then make icing.

In a heavy saucepan bring sugar, butter and milk to a boil. Cook 10-2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and chocolate chips. Stir until chocolate melts. Pour over warm cake. Chopped nuts may be added before icing is poured over cake.
