SPANISH BEAN SOUP 
1 lg. can garbanzo beans
3 med. potatoes, cubed
3 carrots, sliced
3/4 c. cabbage
1 c. chopped (shredded) ham
1 onion
1/2 bell pepper
2 cloves garlic
3 oz. tomato sauce
1 pkg. Bijol

Saute onion, garlic, pepper, and add tomato sauce. Pour into large soup pan, with ham; bring to a rolling boil. Then add Bijol. Reduce heat to simmer; add potatoes, carrots, and garbanzo beans. Add cabbage, cook until tender. Serve with French bread.
