1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. all-purpose flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, then flavorings. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture, mixing well. Drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake in 350°F oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar before baking.

Makes 8 dozen.
