TUNA VEGETABLE RABBIT | |
8 thin slices white bread butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. cracked pepper 1 c. milk 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. frozen vegetables 1 (6 1/2 oz.) can tuna, drained 1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded sharp cheddar cheese Salt Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare toast cups; spread one side of each slice with butter. Gently push each slice, butter side down into muffin pan cups. Bake 10-12 minutes until lightly brown. Remove from cups. Meanwhile, in 3 quart saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in flour, dry mustard, salt, and pepper until blended. Gradually stir in milk and Worcestershire sauce. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture is slightly thickened. Add frozen vegetables, tuna, and cheese. Cook until vegetables and tuna are heated through and cheese is melted, stirring frequently. Serve mixture over toast cups. |
