1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
2 c. flour sifted with 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 pinch of salt
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. maraschino cherry halves

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs, beating well. Add remaining ingredients in order. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 1 large loaf. Recipe doubles nicely.
