MY FAVORITE VANILLA COOKIES
(LARDOS)
 
1 c. lard
1 c. sugar
1 c. ground pecans
3 c. flour
2 tbsp. vanilla

Cream lard and sugar well. Add nuts, flour and vanilla. Knead and roll out 1/2" thick on well floured board. Cut with glass into crescents. Bake in moderate oven, 325 degrees, 20 minutes. Yield: 55 cookies.
