2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter

Beat eggs until thick and foamy; add sugar and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture. Bring milk and butter to boiling point; add to mixture. Bake in 8 inch square pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Do not remove cake from pan. Mix and spread on hot cake:

5 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. cream

Place under broiler for a few minutes. Coconut and/or nuts may be sprinkled on.
