FRIED CORNBREAD 
1 c. self rising flour
2 c. self rising white corn meal
1 1/2 c. chopped green onions, white and green lightly packed
2 tsp. sugar
2 1/4 c. cold milk

Mix dry ingredients and onions. Add cold milk to make a medium batter. Drop 1 tablespoon of batter at a time into hot oil 1/4 inch deep in skillet. Turn only once (as a pancake). Drain on paper towel. 1/2 of recipe will serve 4 to 6 persons.
