SPICY GREEN BEANS | |
3 cans cut green beans, drained 4 ribs celery, chopped 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 bell pepper, chopped 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 can Ro-tel tomatoes & green chilies Salt & pepper to taste 1/3 c. bacon drippings 1/8 tsp. garlic powder Saute celery, onion and bell pepper in bacon drippings. Add tomato sauce and Ro-tel tomatoes (with green chilies). Drain green beans and put in a slow cooker. Add the pan of sauteed vegetables. Add salt, pepper and garlic; mix well. Simmer on low for 3 to 4 hours. Serve with corn bread. |
