GREEK STEW 
2-4 lbs. beef or lamb
2-4 onions, sliced
2/3 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tsps. whole pickling spice
2 small cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
5 garlic cloves, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown meat in olive oil, slightly. Add rest of ingredients along with 1 cup of water. Cook until meat is done, about 3 hours on top of stove. Stir occasionally and add water as needed.
