CAROLINA COLE SLAW | |
1 lg. head cabbage, shredded 1 med. green pepper, chopped 1 regular onion, chopped fine 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. celery seeds 1 c. cider vinegar 1 tsp. dry mustard 2/3 c. vegetable oil or olive oil Mix sugar, salt, mustard, and celery seeds in frying pan; add cider vinegar and oil and bring to a boil over moderate fire. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over the remaining ingredients; mix well and cool. Cover and keep in refrigerator until ready to serve. |
