EASY BUTTER COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
2 c. flour
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Favorite jam or preserves

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in flour with hands. Chill dough 2-3 hours. Roll dough into walnut size balls. Put indent into center with finger. Bake 10-15 minutes at 375 degrees until light brown. Cool completely. Fill with jam or preserves. Dust with confectioners sugar if desired. Makes about 3 dozen.
