1/2 c. butter, soft
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Sugar for topping

Cream the first four ingredients. Work in dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoons about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Cover bottom of a small glass with a damp paper towel. Press glass bottom into dish of sugar and press onto a cookie ball. Repeat until all balls have been flattened. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.
