SCALLOPS ALA TRUDY 
1 lb. scallops
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. fine bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat broiler to high. Melt butter in large flat baking dish until hot and bubbly, not brown. Add scallops, coat with butter. Add 2 tablespoons fine bread crumbs; coat scallops. Salt and pepper to taste. Broil 3 inches from broiler; don't close door. Broil 5 minutes.
