WHEAT PECAN PIE 
Pastry for single crust (see recipe below)
3/4 c. cracked wheat soaked in 1/2 c. warm water, soak until water is absorbed
3 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
3 tbsp. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Stir in softened wheat. Bake in unbaked pie crust at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Tip: May add 1 tablespoon molasses to light corn syrup to make 1 cup if you don't have dark corn syrup.

NEVER FAIL WHOLE WHEAT PIE CRUST:

2 1/2 c. flour (1/2 white, 1/2 wheat)
1 c. butter or 1 c. shortening & 1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cold water
1 egg
1 tsp. vinegar

Blend butter into flour. Add the rest. Mix and roll between floured sheets of waxed paper. A moist crust.
