LEMON BASTED ROAST CHICKEN 
1 chicken, cut up (or any variety, breasts, thighs, legs, etc.)
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. butter
Salt & pepper
Juice of 2 lemons (6-8 tbsp.)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sprinkle chicken with oregano and garlic powder. Melt butter in roasting pan or casserole. Roll chicken in it. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Roast chicken skin side up, uncovered, 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn over and roast for about 30 minutes more, until golden brown.

Reduce heat to 300 degrees. Squeeze lemon juice over chicken. Cook approximately 15 minutes more. 4 servings.
