BAKED HAM WITH PEACH AND APRICOT SAUCE | |
1 tbsp. flour 12 to 16 lb. fully cooked ham, bone-in Whole cloves 1 (32 oz.) can sliced peaches 1 (10 oz.) jar apricot preserves 1/4 c. lemon juice 2 tbsp. cornstarch Dash ground cloves Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Shake flour in cooking bag, place in roasting pan, at least a thin layer. Lightly score surface of ham, stud with cloves. Place ham in bag. For sauce - combine remaining ingredients in saucepan, stir until cornstarch dissolves. Bring to a boil, simmer 1 minute. Pour 1 cup sauce over ham, cover. Close bag with nylon tie, make 6 half-inch slits in top, insert meat thermometer in one slit in bag where meat is thickest. Do not touch bone. Cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until thermometer reads 140 degrees. |
