Pie crust mix (3 sticks or 1 1/2 boxes loose) 1 lb. ground beef (divide into 4 sections) Onion Salt & Pepper to taste 4 sm. potatoes, 1 for each pasty Make crust as directed, split into 4 parts. Roll out into long oval shape, on one of oval, place 1 layer of meat, salt and pepper to taste. One thin layer of onions. One layer of thinly sliced potatoes. Fold crust over and seal ends, cut off excess crust. Make a couple of slits in top of each pasty. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 450 degree oven for approximately 10 to 15 minutes until begins to brown slightly, then bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes more. Serve with preferred gravy, cole slaw very good with this recipe. Serves 4. |
