BARBECUE MEATBALLS
1 sm. onion
1 lb. ground beef, turkey or pork
1/2 c. dried bread crumbs
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp. oil
3/4 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 egg

Mince the onion. Combine beef, onion, bread crumbs, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and the egg. Shape mixture into approximately 1 1/4 inch balls. In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium high heat. Add the meatballs, in batches if necessary, and cook until well browned, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the meatballs with a slotted spoon. Add ketchup, 1/3 cup water, the mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 teaspoon salt to the pan and bring to a boil. Return meatballs to the pan. Reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer until hot and cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes.
