GRANDMA FAY'S RICE PUDDING 
1/2 c. rice
1 egg
3/4 c. milk (or to taste)
Sugar to taste
Vanilla (1 tsp. optional)

Cook rice with 2 cups water until soft (with medium heat). Add milk, with eggs (beaten), to rice and cook slowly, stirring until slightly thickened. Add sugar. Put lid on pan and let sit several minutes until thickened. Stir. Serve warm or cold.
