PUMPKIN PIE CARAMEL BOTTOM 
1/3 c. finely chopped pecans
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 tbsp. soft butter

Press gently into bottom of unbaked 9 inch pastry shell. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes before putting in pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
