SWEET POTATO BISCUITS 
2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
6 to 7 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour

Mix potatoes, shortening and sugar well and add buttermilk, salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour. Make a stiff dough. Roll out. Cut and bake at 350 degrees until light brown.
