HOME MADE BISCUIT MIX 
8 c. flour
1/3 c. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
8 tsp. sugar (optional)
1 c. shortening

Using a pastry blender, cut in 1 cup of shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.

Store in a covered container either on cupboard shelf or refrigerator (it will last longer in the refrigerator).

When making biscuits, use 1/3 cup milk for every cup of mix.
